  Shankaracharya,  lived between 788 and 820CE, was born in Kerala Kaladi. sanyas in at an early a and left his Brahmin household, making his way to Omkareshwar. 

 Shankaracharya under his guru Govinda Bhagavatpada and becamea proponent of Advaita Vedanta  his lifespean of 32years visited all the important spiritual centres. he writen the Brahma Sutra and the Gita.  

 C.M Chouhan announced the construction of the Adi Shankaracharya statue a Shankar museum Acharya Shankar International Institute of Advaita Vedanta, a function in Omkareshwar in 2017 .

  constructed  red stone installed a top Mandhata Parvat hill, facing south towards the Narmada river. It stands atop a 54-foot pedestal, supported by a 27-footlotus petal base 

   The statue is made of bronze, containing 88% copper,4% zinc and 8% tin, and its internal structure consists of high-quality steel.The statue weighs 100 tonnes Indian team of artists, Painter- Vasudeo   Kamath
